The Vocations Committee invites all women of the parish to embrace a life of Spiritual Motherhood. “Any mature Catholic woman, already fully engaged in the sacramental life of the Church, can discern a call to the spiritual motherhood of priests. This spiritual motherhood can be lived in any state of life; it is open to single women, married women, mothers of families, widows, grandmothers, and religious in both the active and enclosed forms of consecrated life. The vocation to the spiritual motherhood of priests is also compatible with the spirituality and obligations of Benedictine Oblates and of those who belong to one or another of the Third Orders: Franciscan, Dominican, Carmelite, Servite, etc.”¹
Spiritual Mothers for priests can offer the simple acts of:
committing to offer the graces of your Eucharist on every first Sunday of each month for an increase in religious vocations and holiness of existing vocations
praying for an increase in religious vocations
making a commitment to intercede both prayerfully and through mortification for the holiness of existing vocations
