On the the Catechism of the Catholic Church we read that “Confirmation perfects Baptismal grace; it is the sacrament which gives the Holy Spirit in order to root us more deeply in the divine filiation, incorporate us more firmly into Christ, strengthen our bond with the Church, associate us more closely with her mission, and help us bear witness to the Christian faith in words accompanied by deeds." CCC 1316 Confirmation is one of the three Sacraments of Initiation. It is not to be considered a rite of passage as its aim is to move those being confirmed towards a more perfect and intimate union with Christ and therefore becoming more perfectly bound to the Church.
11th graders for the 2026-27 school year who have received the Sacraments of Baptism and First Holy Communion are able to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation in the Fall of 2026.
Registration opens April 11, 2026 for Confirmation prep classes. These classes will be for those who are in the 11th grade for the 2026-27 school year, and who have received the Sacraments of Baptism and First Holy Communion. If your child is currently in 10th grade for this school year (2025-2026), they will need to register.
