An ACTS Retreat is a parish-based event which offers parishioners an opportunity to experience the love of Jesus Christ. This in turn fosters a desire for intentional discipleship. ACTS Retreats are given by parishioners for parishioners, and in this way, serve to build Christian community at the parish.
What is an ACTS Retreat?The Retreat Experience
The ACTS Retreat begins on Thursday evening and ends with Sunday Mass in the parish. While utilizing prayer, service, and teaching, the ACTS Retreat meets people where they are in their spiritual journey and invites them to experience God in a manner that is both personal and communal.
The ACTS Retreat fulfills the mission of: "Spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ among Catholic communities through ACTS." Those who attend an ACTS Retreat share in an experience that has impacted more than one million lives worldwide since the first retreat in 1987. There are numerous testimonies describing retreatants who were evangelized through a personal encounter with Jesus Christ. They witness to becoming better fathers, mothers, husbands, wives and children.
Parishes have been revitalized, diaconate classes have been filled, and all seek to deepen their relationship with Christ through prayer and service.THIS INVITATION IS EXTENDED THROUGH THE PILLARS OF THE APOSTOLATE:
ADORATION: Responding through prayer and worship to receiving God's gifts of grace, mercy and love
COMMUNITY: Living and participating in the One Body of Christ as Church, beginning with the parish
THEOLOGY: Deepening our relationship with God through prayerful study to better understand and fulfill His will for our lives
SERVICE: Answering the call to discipleship by following the model Christ gave

Women's Retreat #1 (April 23-26, 2026)We have reached our maximum number of retreatants at this time, but invite you to submit an application in order to be placed on a wait list in case others cannot make the retreat. St. Peter Parish parishioners will receive priority on any wait list, with applicants otherwise contacted in the order that their application was received to fill any slots that may become available. Invitations to wait listed applicants will come via a new email or phone call and if accepted, will require a retreat deposit in order to hold the retreat spot. Wait-listed applicants do not carry over to the next retreat. Any wait-listed applicants that do not attend the April retreat will have an opportunity to submit a new application for the St. Peter's Women's ACTS #2 retreat November 5-8, 2026. Men's Retreat #2 (July 9-12, 2026)REGISTRATION opens April 11, 2026!
The cost of the retreat is $375. It takes place at Our Lady of Hope Retreat Center in Osyka, Mississippi.
Submission of the registration form is step one in the process, and does not guarantee attendance at the retreat. No payment is collected at that time. If the number of registration forms exceed the number of spots available, we will select attendees randomly, with St. Peter parishioners receiving priority.
Follow up confirmation emails/texts will be sent out to those who are on the preliminary retreat list so that a minimum $100 deposit toward the $375 retreat fee can be submitted by a set deadline, and your place at the retreat can be reserved.
