Brother Ken has lived and taught at St. Paul’s School for the last thirty-three years. He was born in New Orleans in 1954 and attended St. Agnes Parochial School and Archbishop Rummel High School. From Rummel Brother Ken went to the College of Santa Fe and answered the call to the religious life by joining the Christian Brothers.
Bro. Ken received a BA in English and Music and was assigned to teach at De La Salle High School in New Orleans. After two years he was assigned to St. Paul’s School and has been there ever since. He holds a Master’s Degree in Music from Loyola University with a concentration in piano and organ and music history.
Brother Ken was asked to become involved in the music ministry at St. Peter Catholic Church in 1990 taking over the position of director of music in 1993. He has since served as Director of Music and Principal Organist for the parish while continuing his duties as an Archdiocesan certified teacher of theology at St. Paul’s School and as director of the Brothers’ community at St. Paul’s. Bro. Ken has been an active member of the St. Peter Parish Liturgy Committee beginning with the tenure of Fr. William McGough as pastor. He is an active member of the National Association of Pastoral Musicians and a member of the American Guild of Organists.
